Privacy Policy for RoboToys.com (EFFECTIVE DATE 2/22/10)

RoboToys.com has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website: www.RoboToys.com.

Never, under any circumstances, is any information collected from our Users and Customers given, traded, leased or sold to any other company or entity.

Like many other web sites, RoboToys uses cookies (small text files) which identify you to the web site. These are used only to store shopping cart information so a User can return hours later and still have his cart intact. This information is only used by RoboToys and is not used or distributed to any 3rd Party source. If you do not have cookies enabled in your browser, your cart will disappear when your session ends.

RoboToys may provide 3rd parties with aggregate statistics about our customers, traffic patterns, and related site information. This data reflects the usage patterns gathered during thousands of customer visits to our web site each month but does not contain behavioral or identifying information about any individual User or Customer. 

We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. 

Our site's registration form requires users to give us contact information (like their name and email address) and unique identifiers (a User ID and password).

We will use contact information from the registration form to send the User information about our company and promotional material, but only if the User consents to receiving emails from us. 

The User's contact information may be used to contact that person about their order only when necessary. Users will never receive unsolicited mailings from RoboToys and must opt/in to receive future mailings; see the choice/opt-in section below. Unique identifiers (such as User ID numbers) are collected to verify the User's identity and for use as account numbers in our record system. 

Our site uses an order form for Customers to process purchases of products or services. We collect Customer's contact information (like their email address) and financial information (like their account or credit card numbers). A Customer may also ship their purchase to another person. In that situation, we will collect the other person's contact information (like name and shipping address). This other person's information is only used to deliver the purchase. Contact information from the order form is used to send orders and information about that order to our customers. The Customer's contact information is also used to get in touch with that person when necessary. Customers may opt-in and receive future mailings; see the choice/opt-in section below. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the user for products and services.

Tell A Friend

If you choose to use our "Tell A Friend" feature, the site will ask for your and/or your friend's name and email address. The RoboToys.com web site will automatically send your friend a one-time email that contains your name and the product link that you would like your friend to see. That information is never kept or recorded in any way.

Security 

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All transactions are processed through Secure Sockets Layer Technology. All purchase data is encrypted before transmission, ensuring the safety of your personal information.

Children's Guidelines  

Our Commitment To Children's Privacy: 

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

Our Web site follows the guidelines of TRUSTe's Children's program.

  • NOT collect online contact information without prior parental consent or parental notification, which will include an opportunity for the parent to prevent use of the information and participation in the activity. Without prior parental consent, online information will only be used to respond directly to the child's request and will not be used for other purposes without prior parental consent

Choice/Opt-In

Our site never uses contact information except to communicate with the customer about his or her order. A User must Opt-In or inform us of his or her desire to be sent future mailings from us before we will do so. Opting-In does not preclude the User from Opting-Out in the future. A request to that effect will remove the User from our mailing list.

Return Policy - For our Return Form click here >>

ROBOTOYS.COM offers a 30 day return policy. RoboToys.com will refund 100 per cent of the cost of the item if it is 100 percent unopened and sellable as new. Returns for non-defective and opened items will be based on the manufacturer’s return policies and on a case-by-case basis. 

DEFECTIVE items can be returned directly to Robotoys.com within 30 days from the invoice date, at RoboToys.com’ s discretion for: credit, replacement, exchange or repair. Manufacturer restrictions do apply and are outlined in the individual manufacturer’s statement of policy. After 30 days, all manufacturers' warranties apply.

NON-DEFECTIVE returns can be accepted directly by Robotoys.com within 30 days from the invoice date, at RoboToys.com’ s discretion for credit or exchange on a case-by-case basis. RoboToys will refund 100 per cent of the cost of the item if it is 100 percent unopened and sellable as new. All opened, NON-DEFECTIVE items are subject to a 20 percent restocking fee due to individual manufacturers' restocking policies.

THE CUSTOMER is responsible for shipping costs for both the original shipment and back to RoboToys. 

ALL PRODUCTS returned MUST: be 100 percent complete, contain ALL original boxes and packing materials, have original UPC codes on the manufacturer boxes, contain all manuals, blank warranty cards and other accessories and documentation provided by the manufacturer. Customer is responsible for shipping charges on returned items; Robotoys.com will match your shipping method on your replacement or exchange item(s).

ROBOTOYS.COM strongly recommends you fully insure your return shipment in case it is lost or damaged and you use a carrier that can provide you with proof of delivery for your protection. If merchandise arrives damaged: save the merchandise AND the original box and packing it arrived in, notify Robotoys.com immediately to arrange for a carrier inspection and a pick up of damaged merchandise.

NO RETURNS of any type will be accepted without an RMA number. For faster service, please have the following information on hand when calling for an RMA number: customer name, invoice number, serial number and nature of the problem.

RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION (RMA) number must be obtained before shipping your product. Please call (818) 908-4055 or e-mail our Returns Department by going to our Returns Email Form.  

At RoboToys' discretion, any of the above policies can be altered.

Shipping Policy

Shipping FAQ

Domestic U.S. Shipping:

Our preferred carrier is United Parcel Service but will also ship by Fed Ex. Neither carrier will deliver to P.O. Boxes so please do not ship to P.O. Boxes.

We can also ship by U.S. Postal Service. In that case we will have to send one of our employees to ship your parcel at our local Post Office. We charge a $4 US surcharge for this service above and beyond normal postage and insurance. If you need this type of service you will have contact us by email or phone, as the web site is not set up to calculate all the myriad shipping choices and costs.

Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. can now be done through UPS or FedEx Ground.

We ship to APO and FPO addresses using U.S. Postal Service.

Bongo International has realized the challenges that international consumers and American businesses face with international shipping. Bongo has developed a new and unique way to fulfill demand for consumers who would like international delivery of US goods. This process has also helped US companies who want to expand their operations to provide international shipping.

Bongo International's services provide international consumers with a US address. The address is located at the Bongo warehouse in the north east of the US. This allows consumers overseas the ability to purchase US goods, consolidate purchases, and have them shipped for international delivery. Bongo services provide international consumers access to the entire US retail market and makes international shipping more cost effective. Below is an example of the savings that are realized using our services:

RoboToys will ship the goods to Bongo International. They take in the goods, store them, repackages them when advised by customer, and handle any custom related issues that may arise. Bongo and it's distribution partners, who have been providing international delivery for decades, handle these goods with confidence and care. The end result is a very powerful service that has now linked US businesses with international consumers.

IF YOU DO NOT USE BONGO'S SERVICE, PLEASE BE ADVISED WE WILL REQUIRE CREDIT CARD BILLING VERIFICATION AND WILL CANCEL THE ORDER IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE A PROPER RESPONSE

Because our website can not calculate all the possible Shipping Options and costs through out the world, your order may be rejected, come up with either no shipping cost or a very low shipping cost if your postal code is mistaken for a U.S. postal code. You should contact RoboToys to receive a quote of shipping costs to your country. 

We can ship by any carrier you wish but because UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, etc are extremely expensive, our customers generally choose to ship by the U.S. Postal Service Express Mail. There are cheaper Postal Shipping Methods but they are a false saving as they do not provide a tracking number and are slower (more handling by postal workers!)

Please be advised that even shipping by U.S. Postal Service is still expensive. Any order less than $25 US will probably cost more to ship than the item itself. RoboToys is located on the West Coast of the U.S. so all shipments to Europe must cross the continental U.S. then across the Atlantic.

Shipping cost are based on weight. It is more cost effective to order more than one item per order as 4/5 of the cost of shipping is just for that first pound or kilo. Adding items to your order will add cost but only in relatively smaller amounts.

International Credit Cards

In order to prevent the fraudulent use of credit cards and to protect our customers, we use an Address Verification System. This will match up the address on the customer's credit card with the address entered in the order. Most non U.S. credit card companies do not use this service, so your card may be rejected. It is the system imposed by our bank to keep our costs down, there is nothing wrong with your card.

RoboToys reserves the right to verify any credit card billing information whether it is drawn on a U.S., Canadian or International Bank. Please be patient as it is time consuming to verify billing information on a credit card, specially one drawn on an international bank, as we require specific items from each card holder. Sorry, but ALL orders are subject to verification, no exception. 

International Orders

You should know that you are responsible for any customs or import fees, if any. We can not calculate those for you, you must check locally.

In the U.S., a merchant can call a card holder's bank and verify the customer's billing address. Due to strict international banking regulations, most non U.S. banks will not give any information on a customer. Therefore we are forced to verify International Orders on our own. See below.

We can take your order directly but are required by our bank to verify international credit cards as there is a lot of fraudulent use. We prefer a scan but will also accept a legible photocopy of the following items:

  1. Write and legibly sign a letter stating you are authorizing RoboToys to charge your credit card for the amount of your order and include your billing address. Please also include the credit card number, expiration date and the 3 or 4 digit number on the back of your card which is printed right after your credit card number.

  2. We will also need a scan or photocopy of the front and back of your card. The signature on the card and your letter should be legible.

  3. The front page of your credit card statement showing your billing address. We will only be able to ship to that address.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBERS IN AN EMAIL - IT IS NOT SECURE!!

You can either fax it to us at the number below or alternately, you can scan the letter and images into .gif or .jpg graphic images and send them to us as email attachments.

Once we have this information on file, if you decide to purchase from us again and use the same card we can simplify the whole process.

We prefer American Express, as this card is easier to verify. We will also accept VISA and MasterCard

American Express is much easier to verify. You can probably call your local AM EX office and have them notate on your account that you are authorizing this purchase. If we can verify this from the US that would be all that is needed.

Any and all information collected is for order processing purposes only and is never used in any other way.
