Genibo's Artificial Intelligence
The Genibo can identify itself and
its surroundings using its sensors, camera and voice commands. It can also share
these "feelings" with it's user through it's responses. These are
expressed through a combination of character/intelligence traits such exercising
or searching it's surroundings. These needs are also reflected when Genibo is in
Autonomous Mode.
What is the Genibo Control Manager? The Genibo Control Manager is a program designed for the user to control all the Genibo's functions once the Genibo is connected wireless on PC. The Control Manager allows the user to create motions and sounds, add them to the Genibo's action list, and custom design the list as the user desires. To control the Genibo using the Control Manager, the Program must be installed on PC first. Once the Genibo and PC are all connected to included wireless router, the Control Manager will be ready for use.
Living with Genibo
The more you interact with Genibo, the more it learns.
Character/Intelligence : Gradually formed, depending on interaction with the user. Behavior can get better or worse. Changes gradually.
Emotion : Depending on its current mood or its interaction with the user, the robot can generate 7 emotions (happiness, pleasure, boredom, sleepiness, surprise, anger, and sadness). It expresses emotions through movement.
Mood : Can get better or worse, depending on interaction with the user. Returns to normal state if a certain period of time passes without interaction.
Intimacy : The more the user cares, the higher the intimacy; the more unfriendly the user, the lower the intimacy. Changes gradually.
Need to search the surroundings
Need to exercise
When searching the surroundings, the Genibo goes around, peeing, sniffing, digging, and showing interest in objects nearby.
The Genibo has a desire to exercise by instinct.
If the master does not exercise the Genibo for a certain period of time, the robot will exercise on its own to fulfill its desire.
Give the Genibo a voice command to exercise. (E.g., Exercise!, Let's exercise, etc.)
After exercise, the Genibo becomes happy and emotionally satisfied.

Need to eat
The Genibo, by instinct, loves being completely charged.
If the battery level is low, the Genibo shows an active actions, asking for charging.
If the battery is almost exhausted, the Genibo will express the current status with a few actions and automatically turn off, lying flat.
To charge the battery, see "How to Charge the Genibo" in this manual.
[Tip] If Genibo automatically turns off too often because the battery gets discharged, it may get "angry".
[Tip] Exercise the Genibo using voice commands.
Growth
Genibo's personality develops by interacting with people. Each Genibo grows in a different way, based on its individual experiences. Genibo becomes customized based on feedback and the software being used.
Face & Voice Recognition
Genibo uses its camera and microphone to remember your face and voice as its owner. The owner becomes special to Genibo, and it will respond to the owner. Genibo
remembers the sound frequency to recognize the owners voice. Genibo can also
recognize the owner by remembering the shape and features of the owner's face.
